can I marry another one

I’m separated from my husband for last 6 years.My husband lives in London for last 6 years with my kid & no plans to return back to California. Before going to London, he filed 498dowry case against me(& my family members). It took us 5 years to win this case.I've filed Divorce case that is still going on for last 4 years. I dont know when it will get finished


My questions are...



1-Can I re-marry without getting divorce, as I'm separated for last 6years and my husband is not ready to give divorce or even not ready for any mutual consent.



2- Isn't there any law in California, that if a couple has separated for X number of years, are eligible to get remarried. I've heard from my friends & relatives living abroad that such LAW exists there..for ex. in CANADA, if a couple is separated for 2 years, one can get married again. same in USA and other countries.

hi i feel so sorry to read your story. you can have mate for the time being. but to get re-married you have to wait until the divorce got final. u suggest you to have patient. hopefully you will get divorced and marry again.

it is good to have new life mate while you are separated with your husband for so long time. but according to the law, you have get divorce first legally.

according to the law you cannot marry if you're already married. wait till you get the divorced paper in a legal way, I suggest doing a simple civil ceremony with your 'spouse' to make things legal.

ok u have separated from your husband its a dificult story to hear but anyone have to sustain it and move forward u can follow all the rule and can get your justice from that ok u r brave and u can do it yourself best of luck for that from my side okk

You have to apply for the license in that state because there are many difference in every stats so you have to get licensed to do so if you have real reason...
